Melanie Fouse designed these bookmarks as mementos of the 2010 Spiker Family Reunion.  If you didn't receive one, want more than one, or would like one of the other styles, here's your chance to make your own.

SUPPLIES NEEDED:
  • Photo paper
  • Scissors or paper cutter
  • Glue stick or similar adhesive
  • Self-laminating sheets
  • Popsicle stick or ruler
  • Hole punch
  • Ribbon or tassel

  2. Print the bookmark images on thick Photo paper.  (For the best image quality, adjust your printer settings to "color photo", if necessary.)

  3. Using scissors or a paper cutter, neatly cut around the edges of each image.

  4. Run a bead of glue down the center of the bookmarks' unprinted sides.  (You won't need a lot of glue -- just enough to keep them from sliding.)  Match the fronts with the corresponding backs, pressing firmly together.  If necessary, trim any rough edges.  Set bookmarks aside until the glue has dried completely!

  5. Laminate the bookmarks by following the directions on the package of self-laminating sheets.  Use a ruler and/or a popsicle stick to press out as many air bubbles as possible.

  6. Cut out the bookmarks leaving at least 1/8" of lamination around the edges.  Smooth out any remaining air bubbles (a popsicle stick works great on these smaller areas.)

  7. If desired, punch a hole at the top of each bookmark and tie on a ribbon or tassel.
