Devon and his 3rd place hampshire pig named Moneybags. This is Devons first pig which sold for $2.50 a pound for a total of $625.00 to Weston Livestock Market (CD Cole)
Devon with his market goat, a Boer, Lamancha cross goat. He placed 5th in his class, and his goat sold for $3.00 a lb for a total of $204.00.
Clayton, his first time raising a pig, won Second in his class, and Reserve Champion overall at the fair. It is a Hampshire/Yorkshire cross weighing 273 pounds. It sold to West Union Bank for $3.75 a pound. That's a total of $1023.75!!!
Cheyenne and her market goat. Her boer/nubian goat took Third in her class but Reserve overall. She received $4.00 a pound from Greer Industries for a total of $372.00.
Robby and his Grand Champion Lamb placed First in his class and Grand Champion overall. He weighed 153 pounds (but you can only claim him as 140 pounds which is the top weight at sale time). This is Robby's first time raising a lamb project. It sold for a record $7.25 a pound (no other lamb has ever sold for that much at our fair). He brought a total of $1015.00 from Bluestone Energy.
Cheyenne and her market rabbits took First in her class and Grand Champion overall. They are New Zealand, and California Cross, and sold for $300.00 to Wholesale Tire for a pen of three.
Robby and his market goat, a Boer/ Lamancha. He placed Fourth in his class. It sold for $4.75 a pound to Hall Farm and Feed for a total of $370.00.
Robbie and his first market steer project, placed Second in his class. It weighed 1200 pounds and sold for $1.75 a lb to Bluestone Energy for a total of $2100.00.
Claytons first market lamb project (origionally purchased from cousin John Spiker) placed Third at the fair. He weighed 119 pounds, and sold for $3.00 a lb for a total of $357.00.
Bluestone Energy purchased Clayton's Third Place market goat, a Boer/Nubian cross, for $4.00 a pound to earn $384.00.
Clayton and his market rabbits took Second in his class and Reserve overall. (These are litter mates to Cheyenne's rabbits.) They sold to West Union Bank for $200.00 for a pen of three.
Robbie and his feeder calf, one of two he showed this year, took Third Place in both classes.
